Hermitage, TN · Group Fitness · Total Body Kettlebell
Build total-body strength, practice controlled movement, and learn kettlebell exercises you can carry into everyday life. Total Body Kettlebell at Hermitage Fitness is a Friday-morning group class designed for both first-time participants and experienced exercisers.
The class combines guided strength work, balance, mobility, and functional movement in a supportive setting. You do not need to own equipment or have previous kettlebell experience before attending.
What the class is like
A kettlebell is a compact weight with a handle that can be used for many different strength and movement patterns. During Total Body Kettlebell, participants follow guided exercises that may involve lifting, carrying, squatting, hinging, pressing, and controlled movement through a comfortable range of motion.
The class begins with instruction and demonstrations so participants can understand the exercise before adding speed, repetitions, or resistance.
Kettlebells are provided in different sizes. Select a weight that allows you to maintain control and adjust whenever your form begins to change.
Reduce the weight, range of motion, pace, or number of repetitions as needed. Progress is based on controlled movement—not matching another participant.
Why members join
Kettlebell exercises can involve the legs, hips, core, back, shoulders, and arms within the same class.
Carrying, lifting, standing, and controlling a weight can reinforce movement patterns that resemble common daily activities.
Controlled exercises encourage participants to maintain posture and stability while the weight changes position.
Movements can be adjusted to match a participant's comfortable range while combining strength with coordinated motion.
No previous kettlebell experience is required. New participants can begin with lighter resistance and simplified variations.
A scheduled class provides structure, demonstrations, and a room of people working toward their own fitness goals.
